There’s a slowing down that happens in the winter; even if you don’t suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), the shorter days and cooler weather this time of year can have a real impact on our energy levels and mood.

While a little bit of slowing down is probably a good thing for most of us, we also have responsibilities we need to meet and things we want to accomplish, and we also want to be able to enjoy this festive, joyful time of year.

Believe it or not, you can actually eat your way into a better mood – and I’m not talking about chocolate and wine, here. Mind Body Green (a really fantastic reference site for healthy living) recently did a great piece on superfoods that super-charge your mood, and I highly endorse their suggestions.

As the holidays approach and the goodies and heavy meals start to show up with alarming frequency, be sure to incorporate some of the foods in this article into your diet. You’ll definitely notice a difference.
