Sugar-free cranberry orange mocktail
At a time of year laden with social outings that normally involve alcohol, I thought I’d share a healthy, non-alcoholic cocktail recipe by Clean Eating Kitchen. This is a great option to give those in your family who don’t drink alcohol, or anyone underage. Plus, this recipe gives you the option to use sparkling water (preferably from your Soda Stream to reduce waste!) or kombucha for some extra gut-friendly probiotics. The sugar-free cranberry and orange juice give you a hit of immune-boosting vitamin C, antioxidants, and even help to improve heart health and the likelihood of developing a urinary tract infection (UTI).
This recipe is simple, healthy, and delicious. If you’re wanting to add a sweetener, I recommend using stevia or coconut sugar. Make a big batch of the mocktail to serve at your next holiday party and help others take a break from alcohol, too!
Ingredients:
2 cups crushed ice
1 cup pomegranate juice
½ cup cranberry juice, unsweetened
1/2 cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
1 cup sparkling mineral water or ginger kombucha*
Instructions:
Divide the crushed ice between four cocktail glasses.
Combine the pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, and fresh orange or lime juice in a pitcher.
When you’re ready to serve, stir the mixture and pour into the cocktail glasses.
Top each glass with sparkling mineral water or kombucha and stir once more before serving.
*Kombucha has a small amount of alcohol and sugar. If you want a 100% sugar-free and alcohol-free mocktail, use sparkling water instead of kombucha.
