Healthy Halloween Treats. No, Really.
So it's not news to anyone (especially if you read this blog) that I love me some sweet treats. When it comes to the age-old sweet vs. salty debate, I'm cookies and brownies and chocolate, all the way.
I used to think that my sweet tooth was at odds with good nutrition, but over the years I've come to realize you can have your cake and eat healthy, too.
Halloween is a great time to put that theory into practice: this holiday in particular is ripe for refined sugar candies and all kinds of bad-for-you treats. Don't miss out! With a few alterations to conventional baking, you can indulge your sweet side without comprising your nutrition.
And have a happy, healthy and safe Halloween!
