3 Liver-Cleansing Recipes for Liver Health Month!

Image: Young & Raw It's March, which means spring is right around the corner... and it's liver health month!

I've always been a strong advocate for liver health: the liver is basically the body's processing plant, removing harmful toxins from our systems so we can go on feeling good.

Like any system, though, if the liver gets overloaded (because of diet, stress, unhealthy habits, etc.), it stops functioning optimally. Like any good factory, it requires regular maintenance and care. And sometimes it needs refitting, cleaning, and servicing.

Which is why I actually developed a product, in partnership with Preferred Nutrition, that supports good liver health. It's a blend of herbs and supplements meant to give your liver a little boost.

All of that being said, there are tons of great ways to support your liver through diet alone.

Obviously you want to lay off things like alcohol, fatty deep-fried foods, and refined sugar if you want to give your liver a rest (and for many, many other reasons). But these three recipes from Young & Raw go farther than just giving your liver some downtime: they actually cleanse and tone it to improve how it functions. Consider these the clean-up crew, sent in to give your liver the servicing it needs to keep on working.
