My New Product: Liver MD

For the first time ever I've teamed up with Preferred Nutrition to create a product, and I'm pretty excited about it!

I work with Preferred Nutrition as an educator because I believe in what they sell - their supplements are true to form and high quality. I'm also very passionate about educating on environmental toxins and how they impact our health. There's so much going into our bodies every day that we're not even aware of, and taking care to support the liver is crucial to sustaining good health these days.

So it made perfect sense to work with Preferred Nutrition to create a really effective liver cleansing product. Without further ado, allow me to introduce Liver MD!

Liver MD

Our environment is increasingly becoming more toxic each year, from the air we breathe, to the food we eat and the water we drink. All of us are living with some degree of environmental toxins in our bodies.

For many of us, these toxins are causing us to be ill, contributing to chronic disease and heightened reliance on medical care. These chemicals also create a very large toxic body burden and additional stress on our adrenal glands, immune system, cardiovascular system, hormonal pathways and detoxification organs such as the liver, kidneys and lymphatic system.

Of the environmental insults, heavy metal toxicity is a growing problem with widespread consequences. Toxic metals such as aluminum, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, and lead are often referred to as “heavy metals”. These heavy metals from our environment are capable of accumulating in the body, especially in the brain, liver, kidneys, bone and immune system and contributing to neurodevelopmental effects in children, to more apparent diseases in adults, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, neurodegeneration and high blood pressure.

Liver MD is designed to provide support for heavy metal detoxification as well as provide antioxidant protection from free radicals from other environmental stressors and toxins.

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) are two very critical nutrients proven to increase the synthesis of glutathione within the body. Glutathione, a very powerful antioxidant and key nutrient for detoxification is often depleted by environmental toxins such as heavy metals.

Vitamin B6 is also needed as a co-factor for glutathione synthesis.

Liver MD also contains powerful antioxidants such as Vitamin C, selenomethionine, zinc, broccoli powder and vitamin B12 to support detoxification pathways as well as hepatoprotective herbs such as milk thistle and curcumin. Milk thistle also helps to promote glutathione production.

The highly bioavailable form of selenium-selenomethionine aids in the reduction of the body burden of mercury.
